from:

Making a scrapbook is one of the most popular hobbies today. Attracting all types of people especially mothers and teenage girls. This is a great way in expressing themselves by using newspaper clippings, photos, articles, and cliparts.

Scrapbooking has surprisingly grown from a personal hobby to a special form of self-expression. In 2005, it surpassed golf's popularity in the world of leisure. Numerous states are holding scrapbook-making contests annually to pay tribute to scrapbookers. This are venues for all scrappers to get together and share tips and techniques on how to create these mini-albums or improve their skills.

A scrapbook is lifeless without cliparts that make it more colorful and attractive. The key is finding the right materials and correct technique in putting them together. A scrapbook clipart can be photos, memorabilia, drawings, and downloaded images from the internet.

Finding cliparts on the internet is made easy. Just a few mouse clicks and the scrapper can download printer friendly images based on themes. The most popular cliparts today are about babies especially for first time moms, holidays like Christmas and thanksgiving, and cartoon characters.

One of widely used cliparts today are stickers than can be purchase online or local hobby store. These are specially designed to make scrapbooking easy and fun. Stickers that measures 5" x 12" cost around $1.90 plus small fee for shipping and handling.

In late 2004, digital scrapbooking was introduced to further enhance the appearance of scrapbooks. This method uses cliparts made from photos captured using a digital camera and software that allows assembly of ready to use graphics and other designs.

This method can be easily learned because the software includes tutorials and easy to follow instructions. They will walk beginners through their first digital scrapbook and help them learn other techniques that they can use for amazing results.

This method allows scrappers to share their work to friends and family online. Instead of manually designing a book, a scrapper can opt to put everything on one website for easy access.

Another scrapbook technique is called Mosaic. This uses cut photos, magazines, or colorful papers into different shapes and putting them together to create mosaic clipart.

Scrapbooks are mini-albums that contain few pages capturing memories of certain events or themes. This is a great way to remember occasions and people. Today, creating one is no sweat! With all the available help on the internet or other scrapbook organizations, anyone can create these mini-albums in no time.

CUT, PASTE, KILL: A Lomax & Biggs Mystery

In three previous mysteries, LAPD homicide detectives Mike Lomax and Terry Biggs have tackled some pretty dastardly criminals. In CUT, PASTE, KILL, they take on their most nefarious killer yet: a murderer who owns cats, designs scrapbooks, and (apparently) looks a whole lot like Betty White.
