Tables for Scrapbooking

from:

In scrapbooking, the most important thing you need is a flat surface to work on. You may also need drawers to place your supplies. Some find their workplace in small nooks of the dining area. The dining table usually ends up as their permanent scrapbooking table in many occasions.

You may use 12x12 drawers with rolling wheels as your temporary craft table. You can also find a 2x3 piece of wood that you can put on the floor or in the living room so you can scrapbook while you are watching your favorite program.

You need to have a wide area to spread out the things you will need in scrapbooking. If your work area is small, you may consider doing your work in the store. There are stores that allow you to use their scrapbooking table as long you pay a few dollars for the rent. They also let you use their tools in making a scrapbook.

If you have children around the workplace, it is advisable that you keep scrapbooking supplies away from them. Don't forget to keep sharp tools like the scissors and the cutter in the drawers. To ensure a convenient and comfortable workplace, here are some basic tips on how to set up your scrapbooking table.

1. Decide on where you will be comfortable working. Your workplace should be large enough to spread out your supplies and tools for scrapbooking.

2. You have to choose your workstation table. You may find 4 to 8 feet long tables that come in round, rectangular and oblong shapes. That will depend on the workspace that is available in the house.

3. Design your scrapbook workplace patterned according to the shape of the scrapbook table you will use. Make sure that all of your tools will have a storage place when they aren't in use.

4. Provide your workplace with albums and sheet protectors. Make sure that the album with the sheet protectors fit according to the size of the layouts. The sizes are 12x12 inches and 2x2 inches are the smallest.

5. Make sure that the scrapbooking table is made of good quality wood. You may also need a comfortable work chair with wheels so that you can move freely without standing up.

Always remember to maximize your work space as well as the space under the table. This space may be used in organizing all your materials for scrapbooking. There are many scrapbooking tables sold. If budget is limited, you may improvise with your own scrapbooking table.
